Website files through control panel

Working with your website's files through a control panel is probably the easiest, least technical method there is.

There are many different control panels out there, some more popular than others, but they're all basically point-and-click and just follow the on-screen instructions to do what you need to do.

One of the most popular control panels in use today is CPanel and it is the one we will focus on in this tutorial.

CPanel file manager

You can find the file manager in CPanel by doing the following:

At this point you should be inside the CPanel file manager. Now you can do whatever operation(s) you need to do with files including editing, renaming, deleting, uploading, downloading, browsing your websites directories, and more.

If you are using a control panel other than CPanel remember that they're all basically point-and-click and just follow the on-screen instructions to do what you need to do.

Whatever control panel you're using, spend some time in it to get familiar with it.

NOTE: Whatever control panel you use, be careful with your actions. Especially when doing things like deleting or renaming files.
